Federal 941 form for year 2026 is not available on QuickBooks 2024 desktop pro plus

Is anyone else having a problem processing their 2026 Qtr 1 federal 941 form on QuickBooks desktop pro plus 2024? 
It seems that the form is unavailable. When I attempt to process the form, it populates the information onto a 2025 Federal 941 form.

When I review the list of form updates on my QuickBooks, it does not include the 2026 941 form. It DOES list other forms as being updated for 2026 (all included in update #22602) such as, Form 940 and schedule A and form 943 and 943A and form 944 and 945A also Form W-2/W-2c and Form W-3/W-3c but NOT FEDERAL FORM 941.

Yes, I am having the same issue. And it's nearly impossible to talk to an actual person to resolve this problem.

I hear you, AD333 and catstg. The good news is that the Federal 941 form is now available for 2026. You'll need to install the newly released payroll update (22608).

 

To download this, go to Employees > Get Payroll Updates. Select Download Entire Update and click Update. An informational window will appear when the download is complete.

I'm not getting the 22608 Update as noted....  I've tried the "Download entire payroll update" multiple times.   What am i missing?

The update pushes through with no issue or error codes.   The latest update is stuck at 22602.

Hi Mike, since you aren't seeing a specific error code, what we can do is to refresh your payroll by revalidating the service key to force a tax table update.

 

To do this, navigate to the Employees menu at the top of your screen, select My Payroll Service, and then choose Manage Service Key. Click Edit to view your Service Key, then copy it to your clipboard before deleting it. Once deleted, paste the key back in, then click Next and Finish to complete the revalidation.

 

This process should trigger the payroll updates. Afterwards, check to see if the tax table has been updated successfully. If there are still no changes and no error messages appear, I highly suggest contacting our Live support team. They can take a closer look at your account to check this behaviour and provide further guidance.

The new payroll update is out! Make sure you go to Employees, Get payroll updates. Also, Help, Update QuickBooks Desktop.
