Join nowhi, i'm running payroll for 2 employees in qbo for the first time, and everything is all set up to go and i'm allowing qb to handle it all...
question:
do i myself have to hit the "submit payroll" button for payroll to execute (pay my employees and submit forms and payment to irs and state)?? or does it do that automatically as scheduled??
thank you

I'd be glad to help with your question about processing payroll in QBO, toddlerner.
Yes, you need to click the Submit payroll button for the paychecks to be processed. If you're using Direct Deposit, the net pay will be send to your employee's bank account depending on your funding time. Here's an article about this for more details: View or Change Your Direct Deposit Funding Time.
If you have not activated Direct Deposit, you can print the paycheck and give it to your employees. Just click the Print paycheck button in the next page after submitting the payroll.
