Hello there, Clark. We can run an unscheduled payroll just for the tips. I'm here to walk you through the steps.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to Payroll and select Employees.
  2. Select the Run payroll button.
  3. Set or confirm the pay period and the pay date.
  4. Select the employees who are to receive payment.
  5. Click on the appropriate column, or select Actions ⋮, then Edit paycheck. Ensure to remove other details aside from the tips details.
  6. Click Preview payroll to review the entries.
  7. Choose or verify the QuickBooks bank account you want to use to process your payroll.
  8. You can now select Preview payroll detailsSave for later, or Submit payroll.
  9. Click Close when done.RunPayroll.png
