Hi there, @glenn-soendker.

There are two possible reasons why there are only 3 contractors show up when generating 1099s. It's possible the vendor's profile hasn't been tagged for 1099 track, or the vendor didn't meet the threshold.

To start, run a report to review the type of transactions used to record the payments and each contractor's threshold. Only checks or expenses will be included in the form. Here’s how:

  1. From the Expenses menu, select Vendors.
  2. Click the Prepare 1099s button.
  3. Hit Let’s get started or Continue your 1099s option.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to prepare the form and then go to Step 4: Review – Check that the payments add up window.
  5. The All Payments column will show the total of a vendor’s payments for the year. Tap the dollar amount to open the report.

Payments you made by credit, debit, or gift card, and payment networks like PayPal are excluded. For the excluded payments to show in 1099, make sure to delete and recreate them using check or expense.

If everything is added correctly and they’re still missing in the E-file service, I recommend mapping the posting accounts of the item on your transactions as a 1099 account. Follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Expenses menu and click the Prepare 1099's button in the upper right-hand corner.
  2. Set up your company information and tap Next.
  3. Place a checkmark in Box 7: Nonemployee Compensation checkbox.
  4. Select all the accounts you used in all your contractor transactions.

I've also attached some articles you can use to prepare and file Federal 1099s, as well as some FAQs about the form:

Please know I'm only a post away if you have any other questions. Have a great day ahead.
