Has anyone else noticed that mileage tracking isn’t working the last few weeks? My phone is showing that QB is tracking me & all my settings are right. What am I doing?

There are times when your app has a lot of may cause unexpected behavior, userj-shipley.

We'll need to clear the app's cache to fix this.

You can follow the steps below for the process:

  1. Select Help in the upper right corner
  2. Choose Reset App Data.

Once done, try to log in to your QBO mobile app. If you're still getting the same results, you may uninstall and reinstall the app.

Please keep me posted on how the steps work. I want to make sure this is taken care of.

Hey there. Thanks for getting back to me.

I did all those steps but they did not work. Let me know if there are other things I can try. Thanks!

Hello @userj-shipley,

I appreciate you for getting back to us here in the Community. Let me share some updates about this unexpected behavior in QuickBooks Online.

Our Product Engineers received similar reports from other users encountering the same behavior when auto-tracking mileage with QuickBooks Online. At this time, we aren't able to give a specific timeframe when the problem will be fixed. Rest assured, the engineers are doing their best to resolve and prevent this from happening again.

For now, I recommend you try uninstalling and reinstalling the mobile app. Some users reported that the issue was fixed by performing the process.

If the problem persists, I suggest contacting our QuickBooks Online Support Team. This way, they can add you to our list of affected users and receive live email updates about this issue.

To contact them, you can follow the below steps:

  1. Click the Help option in the upper-right corner.

Our Customer Support Team is available from 6 AM - 6 PM PT (Monday - Friday) and 6 AM - 3 PM PT (Saturday).

For additional reference, I've attached a link you can use about how to update the mobile app using an iOS or Android device: Fix mileage tracking issues in the QuickBooks Online mobile app.

Thank you for your patience while our engineers are working on the resolution of this issue. Please know that I'm just a post away if you have any other questions.
