Currently, QuickBooks Online doesn't have an option to edit the payroll tax liability manually. However, you can review your payroll settings and check the payment schedule, tax deadlines, and see if you have an incorrect tax deposit frequencies. The steps below will show you how:
- Navigate to the Taxes tab and press Payroll Taxes.
- Click the Edit your tax setup link.
- Under the Federal Tax Information and the Filing & Deposit Requirements, push Change or add a new schedule.
- Find your old tax deposit schedule, then choose Delete.
- Select a new filing and deposit schedule and a valid date.
- Hit OK.
Now you'll be able to change your payroll schedules. You can also review your state's withholding tax deposit frequencies to ensure you file and pay them correctly. These articles will help you examine your payroll data too:
