Hate New "Approve Time" format in QBO.

Really dislike the new "APPROVE TIME" process change in QBO. What used to be a clean simple easy to efficient view, edit, approve, reject process that all was on one screen that can be expanded for multiple days for multiple employees. Is now confused mess of multiple screen clicks and a awful row setup up prcess that you have to do endless scrolling. Why does QBO mess up all the nice simple efficient processes with overly textualized inefficient processes that are confusing messes. Wish QBO could understand, try to present as efficiently as possible like in a "spreadsheet format" minimize number of clicks and screens one has to go through to view information and complete processes and KEEP IT SIMPLE!!! (KIS). This is really just awful and makes it more cumbersome and annoying to just approve timesheets. This is another FAIL by QBO. Please bring back the simple efficient "approve Time" screen that we had before this mess 6/15/2021 roll out change happened (or allow user to switch back to that view they prefer). It was mush more efficient and better to view and use!!! Who approves this crazy stuff in QBO. It's just been one mess after another lately. Its as if these folks have never ran business but go home an talk to their children to ger ideas how to make the system "pretty". Geeeezes QBO. We are trying to run a business, please stop with all of these "pretty" usless inefficient changes. If you have to make changes, it should result in less screen scrolls, less screen clicks and more efficient ways to present info in a spreadsheet life format on a single screen of possible. Isn't there anyone there that has run a small business??

I'm so glad to see you back in the Community.

 

I know it can be frustrating when QuickBooks makes an edit to a particular window or page within the product. However, it's designed to help improve the system for not only one user but all. 

 

With this being said, you can still submit feedback to our Product Developers so they can consider this in the next available update. Here's how: 

 

  1. Go to the Gear (Settings) icon in the top right-hand corner. 
  2. Under the "Profile" column, choose Feedback
  3. Enter your suggestions and hit Next

 

It's that easy.

Hate New "Approve Time" format in QBO.

This is a total loss of key needed business functionality. Below are some the key things that business found valuable that you can no longer do either at all or efficiently:

 

1. It is often important by time keepers to tracking employee time entry.  Certain contracts require "daily" entry in the current period.  Well thanks to this stupid change, you can no longer see your "current period" daily time entry by each employee.  You can only see the past completed period.  So you can tell on a daily basis easily anymore by the once useful way to quickly see daily time entry. Now you have to do multiple more click and navigations.  This is just nonsensical.

 

2. It is often important for a business to navigate quickly across time period to see the previous period time entries quickly.  Again this stupid change takes that ability away and its is fixed to show only the last completed time period (so you can t see the current period of even the day you are in for daily time entry by employees).

 

3. The previous format was very efficient and effective way for a business to quickly scan it a list of employees and see quickly their charge to "regular time", "sick time", "Vacation time"...ect.  Now there are very inefficient multiple screen you screen you have to navigate through and get to this god-awful "daily scroll" which is a confusing and time consuming mess.  You often are not looking ate each day in detail, but you are scanning for an daily anomalies.  Now you are endless scrolling to view days (and again it is showing the past completed time period ony) not the current period you are in-useless.

 

4.  These is this awful confusing screen that you seem to need to do advance math to figure out just hwo to see time for period (which you cant do!!!!).  First you click on this redundant useless from screen to process, then it show some confusing menu of approved time or reviewed time up in the right which is just nonsensical and confusing.  No timesheet format looks anything like this and it just is a useless multiple click process that confuses even more.

 

5 Al the lost efficiency in operations now to have to navigate through useless s confusing screens that don't give key needed information, when before there was a wonderful single screen that provided key information in a singe click.

 

This is a god-awful change that takes away important needed business functions and efficiency.  Each time o look at it, it just leaves the jaw dropped open on the floor that someone could in QBO actually change what was really efficient and needed information to ridiculous mess that looks like this.  This is a DISASTER!!

 

Please, this looks like something a few  "employees" that don't rune business came up without a "employer" having any input.  This is a unmitigated mess and SHOULD BE ROLLED BACK!

Hate New "Approve Time" format in QBO.

Just a screen shot of one the unmitigated DISASTER this new "Approve Time" rollout is.  PLEASE ROLL BACK!!!This is an example to god-awful the stupidity of this new “Approve Time” window.  Today is Wednesday June 16, 2021.  I need to see my employee time entries in a daily basis. This stupid window now only shows the last completed time period.  I CANT SEE DAILY TIME ENTRY.  Also I run two period, weekly and bi-weekly, the same happens.   Also this format is just ridiculous!!!, We need efficiency in being able to see listing of employees and time “in a single window” (the way it used to be) and what time chare was made quickly, the way it was before.  This is just god awful bad.  Also I notices that this is also affecting the employee timesheet entry side where they are not seeing adding the charge code and “billable” to their daily time.  This is a DISASTER. QBO Management Please overrule whatever middle management approved this. It introduces errors and makes it a mess to use this softwareapprove time disaster.png
