If you're trying to turn on invoice notifications, here are the steps on how to do so just in case you haven't done this:

  1. Go to the Menu ☰.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Once you're in Settings, here's what you'll see: VersionCompany Information, Call-In Notifications (Android phone only), Invoice Notifications, and more.
  4. Choose which one you want to enable.

If the above steps didn't work, I recommend you get in touch with our QuickBooks Care Support. They can securely pull up your account and conduct a deeper investigation on why alerts are not working on your end.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Help menu at the upper right.
  2. Select Contact Us.
  3. Enter your concern.
  4. Click Let’s talk.
  5. Choose Get a callback
  6. Type in your contact info.
  7. Select Confirm my call.

I am using an IOS device not a android.  I noticed my bank wasn’t connecting to the app.  I read that the online banking, from website, possible needs to be on while connecting.   I need to get that connected before figuring out how to get message alerts for each transaction made.

I can help you connect your bank account through the QuickBooks Online (QBO) mobile app, @houckm78.

 

You don't need to connect your bank account through the web. Instead, you can link it directly using your QBO mobile app. Since you're unable to do so, I recommend clearing the app's data to refresh the system.

 

Here's how to do it:

 

  1. Click the hamburger icon .
  2. Select Help & Feedback.
  3. Choose Refresh Data, and then click Refresh.

After that, reconnect your bank account as you usually do. Then, make sure to turn on the app's preferences as what my peer suggested above. This way, you'll get bank notifications when creating transactions.

 

When you're all up and running again, you can categorize your bank transactions to ensure they're accounted for correctly.

Ok.  I’ve made sure all accounts are linked now, they are.   Now I just need  some time to see if my phone will alert me as soon as a transaction is made.  I’ve made sure everything is turned on.  I am using an iOS device.  Thanks.
