Hi, I recently moved from Intuit Online Payroll to QB Online Payroll Core and I need to get previous payroll and tax information to finish setting up my payroll.

Let me walk you through the easy steps on how you get previous payroll data and tax information be exported or entered into your QuickBooks Online Payroll (QBOP) account. 

If you're referring to exporting your Intuit Online Payroll (IOP) data, you'll have to set up your QBO account for payroll data first. If you have not yet set up payroll accounts in QuickBooks, Intuit will set them up for you the first time you import data into QuickBooks. On the other hand, if your QuickBooks company already contains appropriate accounts, you can choose the accounts directly from your QuickBooks Chart of Accounts.

Then, you can set up classes in QuickBooks Online if you'll be using this feature and apply them to your employees. Go back to your IOP account and start setting up your Export Preferences. To help you with the whole process and what to select on each preference, you can proceed to number 3 on this article: Set up export connection to QuickBooks Online.

However, if you've already exported your data and you're in the process of entering prior payroll, you can run payroll reports in IOP to get previous payroll and tax info.

Hi, Catherine_B. Thanks for the reply and links but my issue is still not resolved.  I do not have access to IOP from BOA to get previous payroll information so I can complete setting up in QBO Payroll Core.  How can this issue be resolved?  I was on hold for over an hour with a QB representative and have had no luck with QB Live Chat.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.  Thank you

The migration for BOA customers is a little bit different since you need to create a login credential.

You'll need to select the Let's do it! button. Once prompted, enter your email address. Then, the system automatically searches for any existing accounts associated with it. If you don't have an Intuit identity, you'll have to create a new one.

Then, follow the steps to export your IOP data to QuickBooks Online (QBO).
