QuickBooks Self-Employed gives you the option to use your mobile app where you can track mileage automatically while you're driving to work. All you have to do is turn on the mileage tracking and take your mobile device with you. Here's how to do it:
- Open the QuickBooks Self-Employed mobile app.
- Click the Menu ☰ icon.
- From the Mileage menu, select and turn on Auto-tracking.
Once done, you’ll need to authorize the app to use location services. If you're using Android, select Allow, then Allow all the time. On the other hand, follow the steps below to do it on Apple devices:
- Select Allow Once.
- Then, open Settings on your device.
- Click Privacy. Then, Location Services.
- Find and tap the QuickBooks Self-Employed app.
- Select Always.
