How do i cancel my payroll account

Hi there, @janesplacebff-gm.


If you're referring to your payroll account, let me help you cancel your payroll subscription in your QuickBooks Online account.


Before you cancel your payroll subscription, please make sure you have done:


  • Paid any outstanding tax deposits
  • Filed any outstanding quarterly forms
  • Printed necessary payroll report


You also have access to your data for six months after the end of the tax year once your account is canceled.


Please follow these steps on how to cancel your payroll account:


  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select the Account and Settings tab.
  3. Choose Billing & Subscription. Note: If you don't see this option, it might be you're not signed in as Master Administrator on the account.
  4. Click the Cancel button in the Payroll section.
  5. Select Continue to cancel.
  6. Complete the short survey, then hit Confirm cancel.
