I have all the steps to help you cancel your Payroll subscription and make the process easy for you. Just follow the process below, and you’ll be all set.
Before we start, please process your final payroll, print and save copies of necessary reports, pay any outstanding tax deposits, and file any pending tax forms to avoid any obligations.
Once that's all taken care of, we can proceed to cancel your payroll subscription. Here's how:
- Sign in to your QuickBooks Online Payroll as a Primary Admin.
- Go to Settings ⚙ and select Billing & Subscription.
- In the Payroll section, click Cancel.
- Fill out the online cancellation form to complete the process.
Please note that once you submit the form, Intuit won't be able to change it. You can check out this article that details the process: Cancel your payroll service.
After canceling your payroll, you'll still have access to your data for up to one year from the cancellation date. If you ever feel the need to use the service again, you can always reactivate your payroll subscription at any time.
