How do I change the date on a payroll I have already run?

Let me guide you on how to change the paycheck date on your account, userdanielle.

We can edit the payroll date if it is not yet submitted in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Let me show you how:

  1. On the Preview Payroll page, click the Back button.
  2. At the top of the screen, change the paycheck date. Select the Preview Payroll button to complete the check.
  3. Tick the Submit button to submit the paycheck.

For more details about this one, see the Change or edit paycheck date article. However, if you already submitted it, I'd suggest contacting our Payroll Support Team to assist you with this one. You may send a message via chat, call us at a time convenient to you, or we’ll get in touch with you instead. To ensure we address your concern, our representatives are available from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM on weekdays and 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM on Saturdays, PST. See our support hours and types for more details about this one. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Help menu at the upper right.
  2. Select Contact Us.
  3. Enter your concern.
  4. Click Let’s talk.
  5. Choose Get a callback
  6. Type in your contact info.
  7. Select Confirm my call.

Visit our Payroll page for more insights about running payroll on your business.
