How do I divide administrative salaries from production salaries?

Hi there, @pgpeugh.

You can add other earnings as pay type, then, set up administrative salaries and production salaries as pay type names. So, once you run payroll, you'd able to enter specific amounts for it.

To set up, here's how:

  1. In the left menu, click Payroll.
  2. Go to the Employees tab.
  3. Locate and select the name of the employee.
  4. Tap the Edit employee button.
  5. In the How much do you pay. . .section, select + Add additional pay types.
  6. Click the Even more ways to pay drop-down menu.
  7. Put a checkmark for Other earnings.
  8. Click the edit (pencil) icon beside the pay type's name to rename it.
  9. Enter an amount in the $ field or leave it blank and just enter when running payroll.
  10. Hit Done twice.

For more details about this process, see this article: Add or Change Pay Types in Online Payroll.

Once done, you can now run payroll for your employees and able to divide their salaries.
