How do I edit the pay period dates on a processed check?

Hi there, @sterfred1.

Let me step in and assist edit the date on your paycheck that is already processed. Also, you update your bank account in your payroll.

Any changes in your paycheck are done through payroll correction. Once you click the Edit button on your paycheck that is already processed, there will be a pop-up window to confirm that the net pay will stay the same.

You can follow these steps on how to edit your paycheck:

  1. Go to the paycheck you want to edit.
  2. Click the Edit button.
  3. Edit the pay period date.
  4. Hit the Save and Close button.

After updating the item, a payroll correction will automatically added. It will be settled on the next paycheck of your employee's.

For changing your bank account, here's how:

Please know that if you already closed your existing bank account due to suspicious activity, you can reach out to our QuickBooks Support to change your bank account quickly.

Step 1: Gather your bank account information and principal offices address

  • Get your financial institution information. You can also use your online banking credentials, or a routing number and account number on your check. Note: You're not able to use the routing number from your deposit slip.
  • You may be asked for your principal officer's physical address. This is not a P.O. Box. As a licensed money transmitter, Intuit Payments must comply with the legal requirements, applicable laws, and regulations.

For more detailed steps on updating your bank account on your payroll, you can read this article as your reference: Change your payroll bank account.

Select the QuickBooks Online Payroll drop-down, then proceed to Step 2.

I've also added an article to help you print or view your paycheck: View your paychecks and W-2s online in QuickBooks Workforce.
