How do i electronically file W/2 for the state of Mississippi

Good day, rscottassoc.

I'm here to help and guide you with filing the form W-2 electronically in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Some states require employers to file wage and tax statements withheld at the end of the year. I'm including an article that will help you determine your state requirement through this link: Which States Require Electronic W-2 Filing.

Please follow these steps to e-file a state form:

  1. Go to your Dashboard.
  2. Under Tasks, select Show more to see all the forms due.
  3. Click on File now next the Mississippi W-2 form.
  4. Click Annual Forms, and then choose the Mississippi W-2 form.
  5. Select Continue to proceed.
  6. Double-check the details on the form.
  7. When you're ready, click on Submit.
  8. On the status page, the current status will be Submitted.

That should do it. I'm sure you'll be able to file the form W-2 electronically after following these steps.

It didn't work.  First I didn't have a show more button....

It didn't work.  First I didn't have a show more button.  I went to the payroll tax and didn't find Mississippi W/2 listed.  I'm not sure what I'm missing.

Since the W-2 form is missing in the Annual Forms section and your QBO Dashboard, I recommend contacting the Payroll Support Team. They have specialized tools to help check your payroll settings and pull up the form for you.
