How do I enter 2 hours from the week before without it causing the employee to go into overtime

Hello there, soehlberg.

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can add hourly pay for 2 hours without causing overtime for an employee.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Payroll menu and choose Employees.
  2. Select your employee.
  3. From Pay types, select Start or Edit.
  4. Click + Add hourly pay.
  5. You can change the Pay type name if you want.
  6. Enter the Rate per hour.
  7. Repeat steps 4-5 if you need more pay items.
  8. When finished, select Save.

After that, you can add it to the current week using the hourly rate.

I'm adding this article to help track and manage your payroll transactions in QuickBooks: Run payroll reports.
