Hello there, @billing76.

You can pull up the Payroll Details report from the Reports menu. This report shows all payroll activity for employees, including prior payroll history entries, payroll updates, and paychecks processed in QuickBooks. Let me guide you how:

  1. From the left side of the screen choose Reports.
  2. Scroll down to the payroll section and select Payroll Details.
  3. Choose the Date range you want. You can also show only employees you'd like to pull up in the Employee drop-down ▼.
  4. Click the Customize button and filter the necessary details.
  5. Choose the Run Report.

Also, saving this customized report will allow you to pull it up easily in the future. To save it, just click on the Save customization button. Then, you can locate it on the Custom Reports tab when needed.

For more details, you can check out these articles:

Also, there are several reports you can run to view useful information about your business and employees in QuickBooks: Run payroll reports

Fill me in if you have more questions about managing your reports or anything else related to QuickBooks. I'll be here to help you. Take care and have a nice day.

Thank you. But is there any way to get that package of reports in one excel file like at the end of me running payroll? Is there anyway to get back to that after I close it out? Or do I have to run payroll details, tax payments, total cost, payroll summary, and contributions all separately and combine them myself?

Hello, billing76.

The report that shows at the end of the payroll is the pastub detail of the each paycheck. If you want to get back into that, just open each paycheck and click view at the bottom to see the details. If you're looking for a combined report, the payroll summary would do.

The reports you mentioned shows different details, and yes, you can export them to Excel and combined the details you need.

Please let me know if I'm missing something on your goal, and I'll be happy to sort that out.

Have a good one!

Yes, but it's not the same format with the multiple tabs and more details. We need to access that file after submitting payroll in the event that we don't remember to save it.  Cheers.

We appreciate you for joining the thread, Players Sports Bar Inc.

If you are referring to accessing the Preview Payroll Details page after submitting payroll, then that option is unavailable in QuickBooks Online (QBO). We can only access that link or page before clicking the Submit payroll button. For more information about this process, see this article: Process or run payroll.

  2. Hit Feedback.
  3. Type in your recommendation in the Share your feedback field.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
