In the article titled "Reimburse an Employee", under the section "To record the expense for future payment", it says I should be able to select the employee under the name column in the journal entry. However, it does not show our employees in this dropdown.
I'm assuming the article doesn't intend for me to create the employee as a Vendor, because it later says I can create a report and group by Employee, and then select the individual employee in the report. I would like to have this ability.
Welcome to the Online Community. I’m here to ensure you’ll be able to link the journal entry to your employee.
I've looked into this further, and didn't find any reported issues related to yours. You may experience this type of issue when there’s too much data stored in your browser.
Let's work together and perform a few troubleshooting steps to get you back on track. To check if this is a browser-related issue, you'll need to use a private browser or incognito window when creating a journal entry.
Depending on the browser you're using, refer to these keyboard shortcuts:
Press Ctrl + Shift + N keys on your keyboard (Google Chrome)
Press Ctrl + Shift + P keys on your keyboard (Firefox or Internet Explorer)
Press Control + Option + P keys on your keyboard (Safari)
If this works well, it's possible that your main browser is filled with cached data, which slows down the performance of your account. To keep this from happening again, you'll need to clear your browser's cache.
After performing the steps, you can successfully create a journal entry with the employee's name.
Feel free to let me know if you have additional questions about working in QBO. I'll be around to answer them for you. Have a great rest of your day.
