Hi there, @mfer2001.

Printing the previous 1099 forms on the file service website is just a few clicks. I'm glad to walk you through the steps on how to achieve this.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to the 1099 E-File Service using your credentials.
  2. On the Select a company page, choose the business that is under your pro advisor.
  3. If you didn't see the appropriate company, click the Sign in with a different user ID. Then use other credentials.
  4. On the Home page, hit the View past forms link.
  5. Pick the E-file with the IRS tab, then tap the form you want to print.
  6. Hit Print

The Intuit 1099 E-File service opens on January 1, 2021, and the due date is February 1, 2021. You may refer to this article for more information: What is 1099, and do I need to file one?

You can find your client list in your account by going to the Go to QuickBooks link in the toolbar. If you cant still see, there are several reasons why you might not find your client in the QuickBooks Online Accountant Client list.

  • Firm access to the client was removed.
  • Moved to the inactive list
  • The client name was renamed in QBO.
  • Don't have permission to access the client's list.

Let's verify if the client is moved to the inactive list by following the steps below.

  1. On the left pane, select Clients.
  2. Above the ACTIONS column, click the small Gear icon.
  3. Put a check in the Include inactive clients box.

For more details, visit this article: Find missing client companies in QuickBooks Online Accountant

Once the client's list shows up, you can now file 1099 forms one at a time at the end of the year. For the complete steps, visit this link: Create and file 1099s using QuickBooks Online.

I've attached articles about 1099 and how to file the forms with complete instructions, and other related topics.

I'm just a few clicks away if you have any other questions. I'll be delighted to be your guide. Have a great day.

How do I see archive of 2018 1099s?

Hello,

I am trying to find the 2018 PDF copies of the 1099's I filed for one of my clients, I sign in as per your instructions but it only shows 2020!!!  Where are the older archived copies?

And Yes I know I am using the correct login, it's the same as my QBO Accountant login, what else would or could it be?

Thanks

Thanks for joining us here today, @heathersbkkg.

I'll share the steps on how you can view the 2018 1099 PDF copies. QuickBooks saves the previously filed forms.

Here's how to check:

  1. In your QuickBooks, go to Payroll Tax.
  2. Choose 1099 filings.
  3. Select View 1099 to view a PDF copy.

For 2018 PDF copies, you'll want to run a report in QuickBooks and then pull up the form from the IRS website. Just go to Reports and then search 1099 Transaction Detail Report.

You check out these articles below for your reference:

With the above recommendation you're able to produce a PDF copy of your 2018 1099.

I'm also adding this link here to help you manage vendor-related tasks. It has our general vendor topics with articles: Expenses and vendors.

Please let me know if you have follow-up questions or concerns about 1099. I'm more than happy to assist you. Take care and have a good one.
