Re: How do I set the billable rate for an employee in timesheets?

Good day, @tmiller2,

Right now, the option to set up the billable rate on your employee's timesheet is to manually mark it billable and enter the rate per hour.

Let's tart by turning on the billable time so you can enter a rate. Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear ⚙ icon.
  2. Select Account and Settings under Your Company.
  3. From the left menu, select Advanced.
  4. On the Time tracking section, select the edit (pencil) icon.
  5. Mark the Make Single-Time Activity Billable to Customer box.
  6. (Optional) Select Show billing rate to users entering time.
  7. If you bill customers a different hourly rate than you pay your employees and subcontractors, you may want to leave this blank.
  8. Select Save, then Done.

Then, enter the time as billable:

  1. Click the Create ⨁ icon.
  2. Select Single Time Activity or Weekly Timesheet.
  3. Enter the information.
  4. Mark the Billable box to enter the rate.
  5. Click Save.
