Setting up an hourly rate for a salaried employee is my specialty, pcalkins321. I'll gladly show you how.
- Go to the Payroll menu and then select Employees.
- If the employee is already added, click their name. Otherwise, choose Add an employee.

- In the How much do you pay section, enter the employee's hourly rate.
- Set the default hours and days per week in the next fields.

- Add the other necessary details.
- Once finished, click on Done.
When you run payroll, you'll see a message at the top. This lets you know QuickBooks used the default hours.
