Currently, the option to turn the rounding decimal points off and on is not available in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
I'm taking this as feedback and submit it to our software engineers. Please know that this can be implemented based on the number of customers requesting it.
You're always free to respond to this post if you need further assistance. I'll be happy to help. Have a good one!
I need to make sure that the sales tax on items is rounded to the 3rd decimal point and can't figure out how on Quickbooks online.
Nice to see you joined this thread, @makingsigns.
The sales tax item in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is rounded to the first decimal point. I can see having the option to round it on the third decimal point can benefit your business.
As a way around, you can look for a third-party app that has the feature you need. You can go to the Apps menu in your account or visit our QuickBooks App Store for reference.
You can also submit your feedback to our Developer team. This way, they can review it and might include it in future updates. Let me guide you through the steps.
You can also see this link for more details: How do I submit feedback?
I've also included this resource that you can read for reference: File your sales tax return and record tax payment in QuickBooks Online. This includes steps in filing your return seamlessly and how to avoid late fees.
Keep in touch if you need further help about rounding up your sales tax or any QBO concerns. I'm only a few clicks away from you. Keep safe and have a great weekend ahead!
Thank you so much!
Thank you, i hope it does gets added as states are updating their requirements.
