Thanks for joining the Community. I'd be happy to help you with updating your e-file and e-pay account. 

 

You can update your e-file and e-pay account with the following steps:

 

  1. Select Taxes on the left navigation menu. 
  2. Click Payroll Tax at the top of the screen.
  3. Select the Edit your e-file and e-pay setup link.
  4. Click Add/Edit Electronic Services.
  5. Choose Start and continue through the interview until you arrive at the bank information page. 
  6. Click Connect your bank automatically or choose Connect your bank using account and routing numbers

 

Once this information is verified, you'll be able to use the new account.

ok I have QB's 2016 still I have no left navigation menu that says Taxes, no button for Payroll Tax, No Edit your e-file and e-pay setup???

Hello there, CTS Foundations.

 

It would be my pleasure to help you update your E-file and E-pay account in QuickBooks Desktop.

 

The steps provided by my colleague @David-212915 are for the Online version since the first user asking is using QuickBooks Online. Since you're using the Desktop version, you can visit the EFTPS website to update your 4-digit pin and Internet Password for you to make payment electronically.

 

Please visit the link I'm adding below to update your details: https://www.eftps.gov/eftps/.

 

Once done, you can go to your QuickBooks Desktop and update the account information stored in the system.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Click the Employees tab at the top menu bar.
  2. Select Payroll Center.
  3. Go to the Pay Liabilities tab.
  4. Below Other Activities, click Change Payment Method.
  5. Click E-pay accounts.
  6. Choose an account.
  7. Click Edit.
  8. Update information.
  9. Click Finish.
  10. Click Continue until the finish.

For E-filing, you'll need to update your account enrolled to the IRS e-File Program. You can do it by visiting the IRS website.

 

After updating your account through the website, follow these steps:

 

  1. Click the Employees tab at the top menu bar.
  2. Select Payroll Center.
  3. Go to the File Forms tab.
  4. Below Other Activities, click Manage Filing Methods.
  5. In the Payroll Setup window, update your account information.
  6. Click Continue until the finish.
