How do we change the person in the organizanion, that QB is licensed to?

Hello there, bigmackf.

 

I'll share some information about changing the primary admin in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

The primary administrator is the only person who has access to the whole QuickBooks account. They are usually the ones who create the account. You can ask the primary admin to transfer the right to the new person in control of your organization. Please share these steps with the main user.

 

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online as the current primary admin.
  2. Go to Settings ⚙.
  3. Select Manage users.
  4. Find the user you want to make the primary admin. 
  5. In the Role column, make sure they are listed as Admin. If they’re not, select Edit to change their role to admin.
  6. Click Add user if they are not listed.
  7. Hit the dropdown in the Action section, then Make primary admin.
  8. For security, we send a verification code to the phone number or email on file for your account. When you receive the verification code, enter it and select Continue.
  9. Choose Make primary admin again to confirm the change.
  10. Sign out of QuickBooks.
