How do you change your payroll bank account

Welcome to QuickBooks, c.newton714.

 

I'm here to help you change your bank account for your payroll. 

 

You can only use one bank account for your direct deposit and electronic services. To change it, let me walk you through the steps.

  1. Click the Gear icon, then select Payroll Settings.
  2. Under Bank Accounts, select Company.
  3. Select Update.

  4. Select Connect using your routing and account numbers to enter new bank account information.

  5. Enter your new bank account information, then select Submit.

  6. We will need to verify your bank account by running test debit and a test credit for less than a dol...

  7. Update your bank account in the export preferences. This ensures the paychecks processed through the new bank account are properly listed in the correct check register.

However, if you'll want to do some changes in your bank account information under Accounting Preferences, you can follow the steps below:

  1. Click the Gear icon, then select Payroll Settings.
  2. Under the Preferences section, select Accounting.
