How do you find out a shareholders stock basis on a single shareholder/employee s corp?

Each stockholder should have two accounts in the chart of accounts/equity section

[name] (I do it this way so that the parent shows the total automatically)

>>[name] capital - records the cost of the shares at par value

>>[name] additional paid in capital - records any amounts paid in over the par value

 

The problem with QB is that there is no way to record the number of shares, that has to be kept outside the software
