The direct deposit paycheck will appear in the employee's account 2 banking days after the payroll is processed. And, the employee will get paid on the pay date. However, if the paycheck falls on a non-banking day, DD will be posted on the following banking day.
On the other hand, I'd be happy to inform you that there's no additional fee when using the direct deposit feature in QuickBooks Online payroll.
