How to add a new employee to my payroll today is my deadline!

I've got your back, @vient0s2022. Adding a new employee takes only a few steps, and I'm here to help you meet your deadlines.

 

Make sure you have all your employee's info. You can also enter some info and invite your employee to add the rest. Once you have them, follow these steps to add your employee:

 

  1. Open QuickBooks Online and go to Payroll.
  2. Select Employees, then Add an employee.
  3. If you want the employee to add some of their own info, enter the following in the Personal Info section:
    • First and last name
    • Hire date
    • Email address
    • Your employee gets an email inviting them to enter their Address, Social Security Number, W-4, and banking info through QuickBooks Workforce.
  4. Enter the info in each section, then select Done.

 

Now that you've set up your new employee, you're ready to run or process payroll.
