Yes, you can file your 1099s using the 1099 E-File Service account you’ve created. You’ll have to enter your 1099 data manually, then print or email copies to your contractors. From here, you can securely e-file to the IRS. You can create and e-file up to 3 forms, additional forms are $3.99 each. Every form beyond 20 is free.
Here’s how to create and e-file your 1099s from your 1099 E-File Service account:
You can check this article for more information on how to file your 1099s using the 1099 E-File Service (no QuickBooks or payroll).
To know more about the benefits and exporting information from Tax1099, I suggest reaching out to their Customer Support team. You can scroll down to the bottom of the tax1099.com page for details.
Here's also a reference on how to correct or change 1099s in QuickBooks after you e-filed them.
You can always go back to this thread if you have additional concerns with your 1099s. I'm always happy to help. Take care and have a great rest of the day!
We have different ways to efile the 1099 form, Toddlerner. I'll share them to you.
You can check these articles:
Once you're done, you'll email the forms to your contractors.

E-file your 1099s with QuickBooks Desktop Mac 2020
How to e-file 1099s
Once your 1099 information comes over from QuickBooks, you’ll see it in the 1099 E-File Service. If the information looks good, then you’re ready to e-file the forms to the IRS:
QUESTION 1) I SET UP MY 1099s IN MY QUICKBOOKS BUT WHEN I TRY TO UPLOAD THEM I GET AN ERROR MESSAGE, FOR THIS OPTION... HOW DO I SET UP EFILE PAYINT AND SUCCESSFULLY UPLOAD THEM TO QUICKBOOKS?
Note: All forms will be automatically e-filed to the IRS and physically delivered via USPS mail to your vendors. If an email address is included for your vendor, the vendor will receive notification that they can access their 1099 via an Intuit account.
How do I manually e-file without using the QuickBooks 1099 Wizard?
You can complete the e-filing process manually, without the 1099 wizard, by going straight to Intuit’s 1099 E-File Service. To do this: Choose Vendors > 1099s > Intuit E-File 1099 Service
File 1099-MISC forms using e-file service (standalone)

You can submit 1099 e-file forms through Intuit to the IRS. We'll show you how below.

Enter company information
Enter Contractors
A separate 1099-MISC form is required for each of your contractors. Add information for each contractor by following these steps.
QUESTION 2) I SET THIS UP ONLINE BUT THEN IT SEEMS LIKE I HAVE TO MANUALLY ENTER THE 1099 VENDOR INFO AGAIN – WITH THIS METHOD, IS THERE A WAY TO IMPORT THAT INFO FROM MY QUICKBOOKS PROGRAM?
Hello there, toddlerner. I appreciate you for getting back to us.
I can see the benefits of e-filing the 1099 NEC directly through QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.
Unfortunately, this year e-filing directly from QuickBooks Desktop for Mac isn't an option. We can export the information you need by going to tax1099.com or a service of your choice and complete your e-filing there.
You may want to check these articles to learn more about the product's processes and other details needed for the year-end filing:

hi sarahannC,
thank you for the info! questions…
- i was able to make an account at https://iop.intuit.com/1099… i logged in and checked the ballot “…I’ll enter my 1099 data” – question: will this intuit service work for me if i enter my own data (i only have 3 1099s to send)?
- is there a benefit to using tax1099.com instead of the above intuit service?
- you say “we can export the information you need” – how would that be done and how would i use the information to help me with the above 2 services?
thanks!
