How to get help to delete most recent paycheck ( direct deposit, already sent to old closed account ) and reissue to employee's new account?

Employee's most recent DD paycheck was sent to old , closed bank account, waiting for funds to bounce back.  Would like to reissue same paycheck to new DD account so everything matches up in the accounting, but not confident the call center team knows what I am asking to do.  Is there a way to call or get help from more technically savvy staff at Intuit helpline or request via email?

Hi info,

You are on the right support page. I'll help you delete the most recent paycheck and reissue a paycheck.

If the employee's bank account has been closed, the direct deposit will be rejected. The bank will return the funds to us, and then we will credit it back to your company's payroll account in 2-5 banking days.

Since we can't delete a direct deposit payroll, you have the option to void it. Here's how to do it:

  1. Go to the Employees page and select the name of the employee.
  2. Go to the Paycheck List tab.
  3. Open the paycheck, and click on the Void link at the bottom.
  4. Put a check mark that you understand this action and click on Void Paycheck. I've attached a screenshot for your reference.

Go to the employee's profile and update the employee's direct deposit information. Then, here's how to reissue a direct deposit check:

  1. On the Employees page, click on Run payroll
  2. Select an employee, choose a Pay period, and Pay date.
  3. Choose Direct Deposit for Pay by option.
  4. Enter the hours worked.
  5. Click on Preview payroll.
  6. Click on Submit payroll.
  7. Click on Finish payroll

If you need further help with deleting and creating a paper check, please let me know. I'm just a comment away.

Somehow we are using different software, I am unable to follow the pathway you describe for paycheck deletion.  Ido not get to the same screen you get to, and I am unable to find a Void button anywhere connected to that paycheck.  I will just have to write a paper check for net amount and reconcile it later.  Thanks for trying.

Hi @info,
It'd be my pleasure to help you. If you don't mind me asking, what payroll software are you using? Are you using QuickBooks Online Payroll or Intuit Online Payroll?
Any additional information would be appreciated.
