How do I print sick and vacation time used YTD on pay stubs in Quickbooks Online? Only shows accruals earned nothing used
Great to see you here, @rbd2.
I'll make sure you'll be able to print sick and vacation on your paystubs in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
To start off, make sure that you've created vacation and sick pay payroll items, then add them to your employee's paycheck. These will automatically track the vacation and sick hours of the employee.
Here's how:
For your reference, here's an article that'll further guidance on how to set up and pay sick and vacation time: Set up and track time off in payroll.
Once done, you can go ahead and print your employee's pay stubs. Here's how:
In case you need to track your employee's used, available, accrued, and maximum Vacation and Sick time, you can refer to this link in customizing the Employees & Payroll reports.

I also need to be able to print YTD sick / vacation PTO time in QBO on paystubs.
From the instructions given - When I click on the "list" menu at the top, "Print Forms" is not an option. "Payroll Item List" is also not an option.
If I go to Employees - then Payroll Items - I can see a list of types of hourly / salary wages that we use. If I go into an Employee's profile - then Pay Types - then Time Off Policies. I can see there the Time off policies that have been created. I can edit their rules there.
However - I do not see anywhere to add the option to include YTD PTO used on an employee's paystub. How can the employee see that information on a regular basis?
Hello there, Mcsbend! We are delighted to hear from you again and appreciate you sharing further details on how you track sick/vacation in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
We want to ensure that all QuickBooks users can utilize the program without any challenges. The ability to include YTD PTO used on an employee's pay stub is unavailable. You can send a feature request to our product developers because they may consider adding this feature in future software updates. Here's how:
You'll want to run a Vacation and Sick Leave report, then click the Export dropdown button to choose the Print option. This way, you can monitor the balances and use the time off of your employees. Please refer to the following articles for managing reports in your QBO account:

In the sample from Quickbooks support, they include this screenshot showing that it IS possible. How do we get this information on our QB paystubs?
This is a vital part of most company's payroll - the ability to track what PTO has been used / what is available / etc. Employees and Employers need this information. This is a basic part of all payroll - and we are paying for full payroll support. What is the work around for this information? I don't see a single report that can be set up to auto send to every employee. Certainly QBO does not expect payroll admins to email every employee every month a personal email / customized report that has to be created / exported / attached for each person?
