How to remove automated taxes?

Hello there, CV.

In QuickBooks Online Payroll, you can disable the automated tax payment and form filing feature, but it cannot be completely removed. Let me share more information below so you can manually manage your taxes.

To disable automated taxes, you need to turn off the feature. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Navigate to the Gear icon and select Payroll Settings.
  2. Under the Taxes and forms section, uncheck the Automate taxes and forms checkbox.
  3. Then click Save.

In addition, turning off Auto Pay & File does not take effect immediately. Instead, it will be disabled on the first day of the following month, and there is no way to expedite this process. Any unpaid taxes for periods prior to the deactivation will still be submitted by AutoTask. Once the feature is disabled, any future tax payments and form filings will be listed in the To Do list in the Payroll Overview.

For additional information on how to disable automatic tax payments and form filings in QuickBooks Online, refer to this article: Set up QuickBooks Online Payroll to pay and file your payroll taxes and forms.
