Join nowI have read how to terminate employee, but I do not have an action bar with drop down. Can someone please help me?
Welcome to the Community, @mneilson17. I'd be glad to help you with updating your employee's status.
Here's how you can mark an employee as terminated in QuickBooks Online:

I'm also including an article with additional insight into this process, such as other employment statuses: Delete or terminate an employee.
That's it. Using this information, I'm confident you'll have the employee's status updated in no time.
If I can be of additional assistance, please let me know by posting below. Hope you have a great day.
When I select the employee, it does not take me to the screen that is in the video. It goes to a page that says "Edit Employee Info".
Thanks for following up with me and providing that clarification, @mneilson17.
To ensure that I'm on the same page, when you select the employee do you have an option towards the top of the screen that says Employment? If so, would choose that option and follow the steps that I included above. The following is a screenshot to serve as a reference:
Additionally, based on your screenshot, it looks like you've run payroll in the account. However, if you haven't you will not be able to access the Employment section. In an instance like this, you would need to contact support. Here's how:
Should you not see the option for Get a callback, you can toggle it by entering Support in How can we help?.

I want to get to the bottom of this, so please feel free to let me know how it goes. Take care.
