How to track use tax?

Hi there, wraymond21.

Currently, there's no option to track use tax in QuickBooks Online. However, I'd suggest creating a Journal entry in the system to manually track it. I'd also suggest consulting an accountant for further guidance on setting it up or to properly record this entry. This is to ensure your books are accurate in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Please follow the steps below.

  1. Select + New icon.
  2. Choose Journal entry.
  3. Enter the journal date and the account.
  4. Fill out the other fields to create your journal entry.
  5. Hit Save and new or Save and close.

For additional information and to see a few reasons why you'll need to use JE, you can click this article: Create a journal entry in QuickBooks Online.

Please refer to this article on how you can print a single journal entry or multiple entries on one report: Print a journal entry report.

Please let me know if you have other questions related to QuickBooks. I'm always here to help.
