I accepted an email from my employer and got redirected to get up my W-9 and direct deposit. Halfway through after I put in my information the screen goes blank.

I accepted an email from my employer and got redirected to get up my W-9 and direct deposit. Halfway through after I put in my information the screen goes blank.

It could be that you're experiencing a browser-related issue. Hence, the screen went black. To confirm, let's use a private or incognito window. Use these keyboard shortcut keys below:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Internet Explorer: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

 

Then, check your email again and accept your employer's invitation again. If you can enter all your information without a problem, go back to your main browser and start clearing its cache. That should fix it.

 

However, if you'll run into problems like an expired invitation, I'd suggest requesting another invite from your employer.
