I can help you figure out the employee's missing information, Nene1.

When adding an employee, you'll have to ensure that all details are entered so you won't see a yellow exclamation point next to their name. To be guided on what's missing, let's follow the yellow exclamation point, which means that information is required.

  1. Go to the Payroll tab and select Employees.
  2. Locate an employee with the exclamation point and click it.
  3. From the Employee details, find which tab has the exclamation point, then select it.
  4. Double-check and enter all the details.
  5. Click Done to save the information.

I can’t enter home address, birth date, gender or SS # info when adding a new employee. Also I entered her email so she can complete tax withholding info and she said she hasn’t gotten the email

It's my priority for you to add a new employee to QuickBooks Online (QBO), AmyBF.

There are times when a browser's cache data becomes full of frequent access to web pages or is damaged. This causes odd behavior when entering a new employee's information into your Online account. To better isolate this issue, we can sign in to QBO using a private or incognito window. This helps us confirm browser-related issues since this mode doesn't use the existing cache data. Here's how:

  • For Google Chrome browser: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Mozilla Firefox browser: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Safari browser: Command + Option + P

Then, follow the steps provided by my colleague GlinetteC to add a new employee. Here's an article you can refer to for more details about adding or editing an employee in Online Payroll.

If it works, go back to your regular browser and clear the cache to delete those temporarily stored files and browsing history. Removing this should fix the issue since the overtime collection of data can create corruption. We can also use supported, up-to-date browsers to roll out the possibility of a browser-related issue.

Also, this happens if you are trying to access QBO with more than one browser tab simultaneously. Here's the correct way to work in more than one tab:

  1. While signing in to QuickBooks Online in one tab, go to the browser address bar.
  2. Highlight then copy the entire web address.
  3. Open a new browser tab.
  4. Paste the web address into the new tab then press Enter. The home page of your company will now load in the new tab.

To see and print your pay stubs online, you can check out this article for the steps and details: View your pay stubs, time off, and year-to-date pay in QuickBooks Workforce. I've got a link here that provides you with articles about managing your payroll: Pay employees, enter timesheets, and send payroll forms.

I'd be happy to hear any updates after performing the steps as I want to ensure this is resolved for you. Also, if you have questions about running reports, please add a reply below. I'd be happy to assist you further.
