You can either enter your total miles driven or by odometer readings in the distance section to track your mileage.

I understand. I have read all of that before posting.
How do I set up a vehicle to use odometer entry and not total miles? I edit vehicle and there is no option for odometer entry vs total miles. There is no option to enter Odometer start & stop.
Thank you,
Roger
Thank you for the response, @rpujol.
Those trips can be tracked either manually or automatically. Currently, the feature to track those trips through odometer reading is unavailable.
If you prefer to manually track your mileage, you'll just have to add trip date, starting/ending locations, distance, and trip purpose.

This is very disappointing. 1st response says yes I can do it, this response says the feature is not available. What kind of mileage app does not allow odometer entry for tracking mileage for IRS purposes?
Let me shade light of your confusion, @rpujol.
As a way around, you can enter the odometer reading in the distance section as stated by my colleague ShiellaGraceA.
I understand having this feature can make your work easier. I'll let our product engineers know of this feature so they'll consider adding this in the future.

I'd just like to second that it would be nice to have odometer readings as an additional feature to log to avoid any ambiguity in meeting the IRS requirements on tracking data. Online, their example log shows both total mileage driving and start/end odometer readings.
Obviously, Quickbooks does not understand the new IRS laws:
Regardless of the circumstances of your employment, you will likely be asked to record the following:
However, I have found my own solution to this matter. Unfortunately, it takes away from automatic tracking of mileage. Turn off auto tracking and then enter the start and destination address, and then separate it with a hyphen and the odometer reading.
