You can choose to record the entire trip or per destination, @sheila-kaplan050.

You'll just have to make sure to track the total miles accurately. QuickBooks will calculate the total mileage you can write off once it's tax time. You can have $0.575 per business mile.

The following can be categorized as business mile:

  • Driving for a rideshare company.
  • Going between offices or work locations.
  • Picking up supplies.
  • Dropping off orders.
  • Having coffee with clients.

However, commuting between home and a permanent work location doesn’t qualify as a business trip.

Here’s also a guide on how to manually add trips to track mileage in QuickBooks Self-Employed and on how to automatically track mileage in QuickBooks Self-Employed

Let me know if there's anything that I can further assist in adding your miles. Take care and have a wonderful day!
