You'll just have to make sure to track the total miles accurately. QuickBooks will calculate the total mileage you can write off once it's tax time. You can have $0.575 per business mile.
The following can be categorized as business mile:
- Driving for a rideshare company.
- Going between offices or work locations.
- Picking up supplies.
- Dropping off orders.
- Having coffee with clients.
However, commuting between home and a permanent work location doesn’t qualify as a business trip.
