I am manually entering mileage. Do I put round trip miles or only destination miles?

You can choose to record the entire trip or per destination, @sheila-kaplan050.

 

You'll just have to make sure to track the total miles accurately. QuickBooks will calculate the total mileage you can write off once it's tax time. You can have $0.575 per business mile. 

 

The following can be categorized as business mile:

  • Driving for a rideshare company.
  • Going between offices or work locations.
  • Picking up supplies.
  • Dropping off orders.
  • Having coffee with clients.

However, commuting between home and a permanent work location doesn’t qualify as a business trip.
