I have the steps for you to follow on how to update your bank account for payroll:
- Select Employees, then My Payroll Service, then Accounts/Billing Information.
- Sign in using your Intuit Account login.
- Go to Payroll Info section. Under Direct Deposit Bank Account select Edit.
- Enter your payroll PIN then select Continue.
- Enter the new bank account details. Then select Update.
- Wait for the confirmation. Then select Close.
Now, let's update the account that direct deposit paychecks and fees will post to.
- Select Employees, then Send Payroll Data.
- On the Send/Receive Data window, select Preferences.
- In the Account Preferences, select the new bank account from the drop-down list.
- Select OK to save your changes.
- Select Close on the Send/Receive Data window.
After one to two banking days, check your bank statement. You'll see two small one-time withdrawals made by QuickBooks Payroll Service. Enter these two test debits in the Payroll Account Management Portal:
- Select Employees, then My Payroll Service, then Account/Billing Information.
- Sign in using your Intuit Account login.
- Go to Payroll Info section, under Direct Deposit Bank Account select Verify.
- Enter and confirm your payroll PIN.
- Select Submit.
