I am the owner, and sole employee. I pay myself when it works best for me. I'm set up to pay quarterly but I want to run payroll now. How do I change the payroll date?

As the sole owner of a business you are not allowed to be on payroll, you take equity draws when you wish.  Same is true for partners in a partnership.

Glad to have you back in the QuickBooks Community. I can help with editing your pay schedule. Keep in mind you can only change the pay period if you haven't submitted or deleted your first payroll. Follow these steps to edit your pay period:

1. In QuickBooks, go to the Gear Icon and click Account and Settings.
2. Select Payroll.
3. You'll see a Payroll Schedule Date section.
4. Make any necessary changes.
5. Click Save.
