I am trying to set up payroll. Our payroll runs from (Month) 1-15 and (Month) 16-end. I would like the actual pay day to be about a week after the end of pay period.

How do I set up to "manage pay schedules"?

Hi there, @coyotecrossingog. I'm here to help you by providing a list of available pay schedules and step-by-step instructions on how to apply them for your team.

The standard pay schedules you can choose from in QuickBooks Online Payroll include:

  • Every week
  • Every other week
  • Twice a month
  • Every month

For your specific situation, the most suitable pay schedule is "Every other week".

To configure this, please follow the steps below:

  1. Select an Employee.
  2. Edit the Employee details.
  3. In the Pay schedule dropdown menu, select the desired pay frequency. Please note: If you do not want this pay schedule to apply to future employees, make sure to uncheck the box labeled "Use this pay schedule for employees you add after this one."
  4. Click Save to finalize the changes.

In addition to this, discover how to print paychecks by checking out this resource: Print or reprint paychecks and pay stubs.
