I am waiting for a response on this case [case number removed] This issue unresolved, I was told that an update will be made on 14th Jan22, but I am still waiting. Please help

To reiterate the issue is we are unable to view the list of invoices that makes the taxable amount and tax amount (highlighted in yellow in the attached screenshot) on the sales tax liability report. I have received extremely poor customer service on this case from Intuit. I request for your urgent assistance.

Thanks for reaching out, jhafiz-lighthous.

I'd love to look into this with you and fix this issue about viewing the list of invoices from the Sales Tax Liability report.

Let's check if this has something to do with the browser you're using. Browsers have caches that temporarily save your browsing data. When it's full, you could experience behaviors in QuickBooks like non-loading pages, unresponsive buttons.

Below are some of the keyboard shortcuts that you can follow:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P

When you're on the incognito page, open the Sales Tax Liability report and try to view the list of invoices to make sure it's working.

Have this article as your guide in running the said report: Check how much sales tax you owe in QuickBooks Online.

If it works, you may want to clear the browsing history of your regular web browser. This will remove previously-stored browsing data that might have caused the issue. Otherwise, you can try using other supported browsers to be thorough.

If the issue persists, you'll need to reach us back using the case number. This will help the next representative in tracing your previous interaction. They can check the status of the case and provide the next move to resolve your concern about viewing the list of invoices on the Sales Tax Liability report.

Here's how you can set them a request for a callback:

  1. Go to the Help menu at the upper right.
  2. Select Contact Us.
  3. Enter your concern.
  4. Click Let’s talk.
  5. Choose Get a callback
  6. Type in your contact info.
  7. Select Confirm my call.

You can check out this article for our most updated contact information: Support hours and types.

I'm looking forward to hearing this issue is resolved. Drop me a reply if there's anything else I can help you with. Wishing you a good one.

Hello Charies,

Thank you so much for your response. I have tried using incognito window to view the list of the invoices in sales tax liability report but failed. It looks like this is a technical issue with QBO and not browser. I spent lot of time on phone with intuit trying to resolve this issue but case is created and but no action taken. . I request for further assistance. Can you please help ?

Joining the thread to address your concern, @jhafiz-lighthous. I’ll provide an update regarding your concern about the transaction report in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

I understand the urgency of having this feature fixed as quickly as possible. Upon checking the case number that you provided, I can see that there is an open investigation (INV-64726) about clicking the taxable amount in the Sales Tax Liability Report does not produce a Transaction Report.

Rest assured, our engineering team is aware of this and is working diligently to have a permanent fix and get you back to business seamlessly.

For now, I suggest contacting our support team to add you to the list of affected users. This way, you’ll receive a notification when a fix is available. Just make sure to check our support hours so you can reach us at the right time.

Once done, you can utilize this article to learn more about running a report in QuickBooks Online.

Keep in touch with us regarding this matter and we’ll have this resolved together. Stay safe!

Hello RoseJillB,

Thank you for your response. Do you have any update from your our engineering team  about this issue yet ? This has been going on for a while without a resolution. Can you please assist me with this matter ? we are unable to view the list of invoices that makes the taxable amount and tax amount (highlighted in yellow in the attached screenshot) on the sales tax liability report. We are able to calculate the sales tax amount from indivial invoices and also able to view the total for a particular period. We do not have any issues in getting numbers. But we want to be able to view the list of invoices by clicking on the "Tax amount" on sales tax liability report. I request for urgent assistance. Thank you, Jaz

Hello, M J Hafiz.

I appreciate your time in following-up regarding the issue on the Sales Tax Liability report.

I checked the reported issue about the Sales Tax Liability report, and it looks like our engineers are still working to fix it. If you've already called our support and have added yourself to the list of affected users, you'll be receiving updates from them.

They'll release their update any time soon (workaround or a potential fix), so I suggest checking your inbox (junk or spam folders) for the update notifications.

For now, I would recommend checking individual invoices for the sales tax amount (as what you've mentioned in your reply).

If you need to take care of your tax forms for payroll, check out the articles in our Tax forms topic page. They contain guides and details about how to handle, file and pay your payroll taxes within QuickBooks.

We appreciate your patience as we're working to get the Sales Tax Liability report back to normal. If you have any other concerns regarding the processes and functions in QuickBooks, I'm all ears. Just reply here and I'll gladly address them for you.

Good morning,

I have been waiting for a resolution on case [case number removed] since 2 months. We are unable to view the list of invoices that makes the taxable amount and tax amount as clicking on these numbers does not open up the list of invoices making those numbers as it would. Time and again I have been told that engineers are working on this issues towards a resolution but I have never heard an update from engineer. I request for urgent assistance. Thanks , M J Hafiz

Thanks for always getting back here and asking for updates about the issue, jhafiz-lighthous.

I can see from previous responses that there's an investigation related to your concern. Based on our records, the status of this remains open at the moment.

This means that our engineers are still working on the resolution to get the feature working again.

Please continue to monitor your inbox for any notifications that we will be sending as changes happen. You can still follow the previously shared workaround such as checking each invoices to see if taxes were applied or not.

In the meantime, I'd like to share these articles for additional guidance when tracking sales taxes:

Thanks for suggesting the workaround that I have already been following before this issue even occurred as I mentioned in my earlier posts. Thanks so much for suggesting to monitor my inbox regularly. We create hundreds of invoices flowing into QBO from 2 different systems(Connectwise and Repairdesk where sales tax are working fine) and despite of difficulties we are checking individual invoices to ensure that the correct amount of sales tax remain on the invoices when moved into QBO from those system. Can I have an expected date of resolution please or may I know usually how long it takes for an issue of this type to resolve ?

Thanks,
