Can you tell us more about the error you're having? That'll help us check to see if there's an ongoing issue with it.

 

To resolve this, let’s run the Verify and rebuild tools. The Verify Data will identify any data issues within your company file. Then, the Rebuild tool will self-resolve it. Check the steps below:

 

Verify data:

  1. Go to File, then Utilities and choose Verify Data.

If it will detect an error, proceed and Rebuild your data:

  1. Go back to File menu and then Utilities and select Rebuild Data.
  2. Choose OK if you’ll receive a message to back-up your company file.
  3. After creating the back-up file, the Rebuild Data utility will run automatically.
  4. Click OK when you get the message Rebuild has completed.

I am trying to run my PPP Cash Compensation report.  It told me I had to do a update I did that and now it looks like all the updates are complete, but every time I try to run it, it tells me I have to do a update?  Thank you!

I am trying to run my PPP cash compensation report.  When I try to run it, it told me I had to do a update.  I finally got the update done and now every time I try to run it, it tells me I need to do a update.  When I look at the updates it tells me every thing is updated?  Thank you!

Allow me to chime in and provide additional steps to keep the update working, valleylumberheid.

 

You need to make sure your QuickBooks Desktop program and the tax table are updated to their latest releases. Doing this will help ensure you have the newest features and functions in the system.

Once done, you can run again the PPP Cash Compensation report.

 

If the system is telling you to update it again, you can run the repair tool to resolve this issue.

 

Here's how: 

 

  1. Back up your company file if you haven't already. 
  2. Restart your computer. 
  3. Go to the Windows Start menu. 
  4. Pick the Control Panel
  5. Choose Programs and Features and then Uninstall a Program
  6. Click QuickBooks and then Uninstall/Change
  7. Tap Continue or Next
  8. Hit Repair and then NextNote: The repair should start right away, but it may take a while to finish. You can leave it running and come back once it's done.
  9. When the repair is done, press Finish

You may have to restart your computer to complete the repair.
