I can not run payh roll. Your payroll will not work for me. I can not ask a person why and what do I have to do to get it to work.

I'm here to ensure you're able to run payroll in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @quinnsigns


The browser may be full of frequently accessed page resources over time. It can cause unusual behavior in the program, such as being unable to run payroll. Rest assured that I've got the steps you can perform to resolve this. 


Let's start by logging into your QBO account using an incognito window. It's a great way to isolate browser-related issues since it doesn't store data in the cache. Here are the keyboard shortcuts: 

  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N 
  • Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + P 


Once signed in, go back to the Employees tab from the Workers or Payroll menu. If the Run payroll button works (see the screenshot below) and you're able to save your work, let's clear your main browser's cache. Doing so will help you remove its junk files, so it'll function efficiently. Otherwise, you can use a different browser to give you the best and most secure experience with QBO.
