I'd be happy to assist you in setting up E-pay, @Andrew Lei.

Is your Silicon Valley Bank account set up for bank feeds in QuickBooks Desktop? We have to temporarily turn off your Online Banking features to complete your E-Pay account setup. Then, turn them back on after completion. Beforehand, let's ensure that this account has no missing fields and invalid characters.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the List drop-down and choose Chart of Accounts.
  2. Edit your online bank account.
  3. Choose the Online Services tab.
  4. Verify the Account Customer ID has its online banking login. This field is a required field. If it is blank or has invalid characters, you cannot set up the account for E-Pay and E-File.
  5. Select Save, then Close.
  6. Use the Payroll Setup to set up the bank account for E-pay and E-file.

To disable and re-enable the online services, please follow the steps outlined in this article: Resolve Payroll set up info doesn't save.

It's also possible that your bank account set up for E-File and E-Pay has Tax Line Mapping set to something other than Unassigned. To review the Tax Line Mapping setting, refer to the attached article above and continue to the Check or resolve the Tax Line Mapping setting section.

Keep me posted on your progress getting that error message resolved. I'm determined to help you succeed.
