This issue with the 940 form is already escalated, virginiajaneshop.

Our Online Payroll Team is investigating this behavior you're seeing with the Payroll Tasks. While we don't have a status update for you just yet, I'd suggest giving us a call. We're going to add you as an affected user so you'll be notified when a resolution is available.

Here's how to get our contact number:

  1. Go to this link https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/en_US/contact.
  2. Select QuickBooks Online.
  3. Click the Employees and payroll topic.
  4. Select the General payroll help sub-topic.
  5. Scroll down and click the Get Phone Number button.

I appreciate your patience on this. Please let me know if you need anything else.

I'm having the same issue.  Any updates on a fix?

Hi there, @redteal.

Thanks for joining this conversation. I'm here to share some update about this ongoing issue with Form 940.

Currently, Online Payroll Team is still working to get this issue fixed as soon as possible. While we don't have an exact time frame as to when this will be fixed, I highly recommend contacting our Payroll Team and provide this investigation number INV-24375.

They have the tools that can add your company details to the list of affected users. Once you're added, we can immediately notify you once an update is available. You can use the steps provided by my colleague @SophiaAnnL above on how to reach them.

That should point you in the right direction. Thanks for your understanding and patience while we look into this. Don't hesitate to leave a comment on this thread if you have any other concerns. Have a good one.
