QuickBooks treats direct deposit and paper checks differently. If you print paper checks, it won’t automatically send the direct-deposit payments to your bank.
Before switching from a paper paycheck to direct deposit, first void the created paper paycheck to remove it from your payroll paycheck list and change the dollar amount to zero.
