Yes, you can initially use your Social Security Number (SSN) when setting up a business account if you are operating as a sole proprietor without EIN, Galon.
Sole proprietors may choose to use the Social Security number as a substitute for an EIN under specific circumstance if the business has no employees and if it's not required to file excise , employment, alcohol, tobacco, or firearms returns.
