I can show you the way to confirm deleted paychecks in QuickBooks.
We can use the Audit Log feature to view the activities on your account.
Here's how:
You can learn more about this here on this link: Learn about the audit log.
Additionally, when we delete paychecks in QuickBooks, the system will auto-create an adjustment check to zero out the check. Hence, I highly suggest consulting your accountant for proper guidance. They know better how to handle this matter.
For future reference, read through this article to view the information of your business and employees: Run payroll reports.
Feel free to get back if you have any follow-up questions or need help with anything else about QuickBooks. I'd be glad to assist.
Someone suggested I contact my accountant and I do not have one. How can I confirm that the 941/944 taxes were deleted on my running tally for the quarter? I found that the paychecks were deleted, but the amount I am paying for the 941/944 taxes is still way higher than I have ever paid. How can I make sure?
Hi there. Thank you. I was able to confirm that the checks were deleted. How can I confirm that the 941/944 taxes were also deleted? I do not have an accountant to talk to. Is there a way I can find out through quickbooks? Where would I look? I am paying over 2 times that amount that I have ever paid. I think it may be due to the added and then deleted paychecks. Or is it automatically removed when the paychecks are deleted?
We've got your back, @renees369.
Yes, if you haven't processed the 941/944 tax yet, it's automatically removed when the paychecks are deleted. I'd suggest running the Payroll Tax and Wage Summary report. This report shows total subject wages, excess wages, and taxable wages by tax type. Choose Federal Income Tax to view the paychecks included in one specific date range.
Here's how:
There are several payroll reports you can view information about your business and employees. Refer to this article for more info: Run payroll reports.
